Did Vanity Fair Not Realize Bernie Sanders Was in the Race?

Executive Summary

  • The mainstream US media has aggressively tried to marginalize Bernie Sanders in the 2020 presidential campaign.
  • This article shows clear evidence for this marginalization.

Introduction

Major media outlets have a multiyear history of marginalizing Bernie Sanders. In 2016, they all put in for supporting Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders. And this is happening in 2020.

The Vanity Fair Article

Vanity Fair wrote an article that covered the topic of Joe Biden’s gaffes. However, the absolute lack of coverage of Bernie Sanders as running and leading candidate illustrates the anti-Bernie and also anti-progressive status of Vanity Fair.

Article Quotations

According to the Hill, some close to Biden are floating scaling back his campaign schedule to limit his verbal stumbles. The proposed schedule reduction would appear to serve two purposes: to give his opponents, both in the primary and potentially in the general election, fewer blunders to capitalize on, and to give him more time to rest ahead of what may be a grueling race for the 76-year-old. “He needs to be a strong force on the campaign trail,” one source close to the Biden campaign told the Hill, “but he also has to pace himself.

To his campaign and supporters, that’s just part of the package for the folksy, shoots-from-the-hip former veep. “Joe Biden has spoken his mind his entire life, which voters know and love about him,” Kate Bedingfield, Biden’s deputy campaign manager, told the Hill. “He’s a real person, he’s authentic, and that will never change.””

The article up to this point is fine. Still, in the following paragraph, it mentions other Democratic presidential candidates but fails to mention the candidate who was running second to Joe Biden in the polls at the time of this publication, which is Bernie Sanders.

Excluding Bernie Sanders as a Presidential Candidate

While it might be easy to write off the president’s attacks, Biden’s continued stumbles have raised questions about his electability, one of his key selling points as a candidate. Polls show that he has maintained a comfortable lead despite the parade of follies and a pair of flat debate performances, but they’ve also shown steady gains by opponents Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris, both of whom have impressed in debates and settled into a groove on the campaign trail.

Who ranks right after Joe Biden? Yes, Bernie Sanders. Therefore, why was he excluded from mention by Vanity Fair? Secondly, Kamala Harris hurt rather than helped her case in debates, and when this article was written (August 15, 2019), she is on the decline.

Kamala Harris had a brief uptick in late June of 2019, but after holding this level for roughly .15 weeks, she has fallen since. As of the time of this Vanity Fair article, she is polling less than 1/2 of Bernie Sanders. However, as she is an establishment Democrat and takes contributions from wealthy contributors, it seems that Vanity Fair prefers to mention Kamala Harris.

Bernie Sander’s Contributors

This map shows Bernie Sanders dominating the small donations category. This means that Bernie Sanders has far better support from voters than is reflected in the current polling. Joe Biden, funded by significant money contributions and on the credit card industry payroll for decades as he is out of Delaware where credit card companies have located due to lax usury laws, has been on a decline since he began to his run. He is the preferred candidate by the DNC. However, the only places in the country where he leads in small donations in Delaware. Bernie Sanders is the only candidate to lead small donations outside of his home state.

No Alternative to Biden

“A lot of people are nervous that he’s lost some of his mojo,” the major funder told the Hill. “They’re getting nervous about him going toe to toe with Trump. But the problem is, there doesn’t seem to be an alternative.”

Well, even if Sanders is removed from the equation, why isn’t Elizabeth Warren an alternative? Why is the aged (Bernie Sanders is older than Biden, but Biden behaves older)? Also, who is this major funder? Some corrupt individual thinks that there is no other alternative than corrupt candidates like Biden.

Conclusion

This article is pure garbage. Vanity Fair demonstrates in this article, and they intend to rig information and to have the billionaire owner of the media entity delude its readers.
