Agente: A Review of The Websites of UX Companies

Executive Summary

    • Companies offering UX consulting and other services should have very usable and effective websites.
    • We review them to see how they stack up.

Introduction

UX companies should have terrific websites. In this case, we review the website of Agente.

Main Entry

The first page of Agente looks quite generic. It has a popup bubble for reaching out, which we don’t recommend. Our testing shows that people are now aware of the chat bubble and do not need to be prompted to reach out.

The second problem is that the pop-up appears on every page that we went to on the Agente website.

Services Offered

The services offered are tiles. They are, in our view, not interesting or appealing. The descriptions are generic, and we did not feel enticed to select and find out more, although we did as we reviewed the website.

The Agente Portfolio

The Agente website finally rose several notches once we got to the portfolio area. Agene has good images for its portfolio and has some interesting projects it does a good job highlighting.
This webpage explains one of the items in the Agente portfolio.

This portfolio page shows a health app that Agente designed. The app looks both interesting and well designed.

The level of detail explained on the app is good, and the website does a good job of highlighting its features.

More screenshots of the health app help any reader gain a better understanding of what the app does.

More of the same in this screenshot, which is multidimensional.

This is another app designed by Agente. Each of the portfolio pages has a good amount of explanation about each portfolio project.

The Agente Blog

The appearing tiles are also used for the blog.

The blog articles looked enticing to read. We did not evaluate the content in the blog articles, as the point of this article was only to review the UX of the Agente website.

Conclusion

The Agente website is modestly effective until one gets to the blog and especially the compelling portfolio section. This is one of the better portfolio sections we have seen on UX companies and provided anyone interesting in hiring Agente with a good sampling of the work they do.

Overall, we rate the Agente website an 8.5 out of 10.
