Introduction

There are several rankings for the best cancer hospitals available on the Internet. Rankings for the best cancer hospitals are very infrequently analyzed for how accurate these online rankings are. MD Anderson’s Cancer Center in Houston routinely scores in the top rankings in things like US News and World Report.

However, I covered in the article What About The Best Hospital Ranking for Cancer Treatment? We are not part of the establishment media and don’t care about medical reputations or fancy buildings. Perhaps most importantly, we don’t have advertising connections to other financial ties to any cancer center.

Without those things, let us see whether MD Anderson’s Cancer Center looks like the type of place we would go if we had cancer.

MD Anderson is a cancer treatment center and a central research facility with many labs focusing on different areas of cancer research.

This sounds good; however, as we will see in the hospital patient reviews, this focus on research conflicts with their role in providing treatments. This is because MD Anderson requires a continuous supply of many cancer patients to enroll in their cancer studies.
