How The Muslim Jizyah is Identical to Mafia Extortion Racket

Executive Summary

  • Liberals and mainstream media like to present extremist Islam as not Islam.
  • How accurate is this claim?

Introduction

The jizyah is a tax that was required to be paid by non-Muslims in Muslim-controlled areas. How is this similar to a protection racket?

The Apostate Prophet explains how the Jizyah was implemented. If the Jew Christian or Zoroastrian would not pay the Jizyah, the penalty was normally death.

What is A Protection Racket?

Protection rackets are usually where a business pays protection money to organized crime. The idea presented is that the store or business is protected from others who are not paid, but the actual threat is the organized crime entity paid the protection money. A protection racket is where the term “racketeering” originated from.

The Two Purposes of the Jizyah Protection Racket

For Muslims that conquered an area, one purpose of the jizyah was to obtain resources. However, the jizyah is just one of the many strategies designed to humiliate the conquered and encourage them to convert to Islam. By turning non-Muslims into second-class citizens, Muslims could obtain a high conversion rate in the conquered lands. Today, many of the descendants of people conquered by Muslims have no idea that their ancestors were converted against their will.

Muslims Can’t Stop Lying About the Jizyah

This is a very typical false presentation by a Muslim of what is jizyah. It is presented as only a customary tax, and it is undifferentiated. This is why it is normally not a good idea to listen to Muslims and to do one’s research, as it appears that there is nothing a Muslim won’t lie to a non-Muslim about if they feel they can get away with it. The lying here is multidimensional; not only does this Muslim lie about what the jizyah is, but he presents it as if Muslims call jizyah a different name because it is the tax a non-Muslim pays.

If this presentation of the jizyah were true, the following quotation from the Quran is difficult to explain.

Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold forbidden that which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. – Quran 9:29

Why is the jizyah associated with submission? Muslims are “fighting those who believe not in Allah” to make them pay a tax.

That is a strange thing to do.

Let us observe this quote.

“I call you to God and to Islam. If you respond to the call, then you are Muslims: You obtain the benefits they enjoy and take up the responsibilities they bear. If you refuse, then you must pay the jizyah. If you refuse the jizyah, I will bring against you tribes of people who are more eager for death than you are for life. We will then fight you until God decides between us and you.” – Khalid bin Al-Waheed (Muslim General, 632AD)

Why Do Muslims Continuously Win Our Golden Pinnochio Award?

Muslims receive our Golden Pinocchio Award for hiding the practice of extracting the jizyah from other faiths. Increasingly, it appears that to be Muslims is to be dishonest.

Conclusion

The jizyah is very rarely mentioned when discussing Islam. Muslims will generally try to whitewash the practice, say that there was some administrative reason for it, and then call the person discussing the jizyah an Islamophobe.
