Cowardly Ukrainian Women Flee and Set Back Feminism 100 Years

Executive Summary

  • Feminists have been talking about how they can do anything men do in “heels” now flee Ukraine while the men fight.

Introduction

Feminism makes a lot of noise when women want to pick and choose things they want to do. However, when the jobs are challenging, women immediately demand to move back to traditional roles. A good example of this is the lack of feminists that are apparent when another country invades your country.

Women Fleeing Ukraine

Observe how the following quote says nothing about feminism.

Olga fled Hostomel, northwest of Kyiv, three days after the war broke out with her mother, Valentina, her 8-month-old and 11-year-old cousins and their mother, sharing a car with seven other people, with some of the children in the boot.

They arrived in the quaint town of Veszprem on Sunday, where a friend had given them contacts for a temporary work agency that employs 1,200 to 1,300 Ukrainians in western Hungary.

Yasnopolska, who worked for the railways in Ukraine, said the job contract gave her some sense of security.

“It’s a relief that we have somewhere to stay and now I have a job, and we are in safety,” she said, with a tired, faint smile. “I’m not sure I will be able to go back there.” – Reuters

Reuters does not ask why Ogla is not fighting back in Ukraine. The question is why.

People Magazine Can’t See the Double Standard

As Russia’s bloody invasion of Ukraine continues, many of those fleeing to safety are women — some of whom describe a “terrible dream” as they make the journey with their children, often without their husbands, fathers and brothers.

A government decree reportedly prohibits men ages 18 to 60 from leaving Ukraine in an effort to encourage them to join the fight against Russia. – People

Why doesn’t People Magazine point out how sexist that government policy is? Shouldn’t it be all people, not just men between 18 to 60, that should be made to stay and fight?

Also, why aren’t women, very strong feminists, complaining to have this policy changed? Feminists always demand that they not be excluded from roles that men do — except when the job is hazardous or difficult or something women don’t want to do, then women are very happy to use their “female privilege” to exit those roles and leave them for men.

The quote from People magazine continues.

The first lady continued: “This International Women’s Day, we honor women throughout the world who courageously use their voice, no matter the cost. To our sisters from Ukraine who are fighting to keep their country free and their families alive: We stand with you in solidarity.” – People

Yes, but that is only fighting in the metaphorical sense. That is left to the Ukrainian men when it comes to actual fighting. Wouldn’t it be more courageous to go and physically fight rather than “using their voice no matter what the cost?”

Conclusion

Feminists don’t want to fight and flee Ukraine as quickly as possible. As is normally the case, feminism only exists when everything is stable. And when things are stable and easy, women say that they can do everything men can do. However, that instantly changes as soon as things become difficult, then women transition back to traditional roles.
