How the Story on Ukraine’s US Funded Bio Weapons Labs Keeps Changing

Executive Summary

  • The US spun several stories about the bioweapons labs it funds in Ukraine.
  • We cover how that story has changed.

Introduction

After the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, it became known that Ukraine has several bioweapons facilities that we fund. As soon as this news broke, the US government went into damage control mode and provided false information to the public. As more became known, they continually changed this story.

This video shows the Russian military stating that it found a bioweapons complex of labs in Ukraine that have been funded by the US. The video was quickly censored by YouTube so that it cannot be embedded into articles. This shows you Google does not want this video used but has yet to simply pull the video down.

The Tucker Carlson Segment on US Funded Bioweapons Labs in Ukraine

This excellent segment moved the audience through the quickly changing story.

Keeping Track of the Changing Story From the US Government and MSM

The DOD, State Department, and their establishment media poodles have multiple exculpatory explanations of the Ukrainian bioweapon lab network that seems to number around 30 labs. Keeping track of these stories is important, which is why we have given each of these explanations a different story number.

Story #1: “There Are No US Bioweapons Facilities in Ukraine”

This was the first version of the story. There were no bioweapons labs in Ukraine, and it was all Russian disinformation.

Story #2: “The Bioweapons Labs Are Designed to Create Defensive Bioweapons”

This version was presented after it turned out that the first lie was exposed. So now, the labs that did not exist and were made up by Russian misinformation did exist — however, they were “good bioweapons” labs.

Newland Admits The Bioweapons Labs Are a Concern Because They Are Dangerous Which Means They Are Active Offensive Bioweapon Labs

These entirely defensive bioweapon labs are now a concern because Russia will capture these labs. And now there is a problem because the labs are not defensive. (what is a defensive bioweapon in any case?)

The following quote from the US DOD shows how they provide more misleading information as a cover story for the testimony by Nuland.

The US Department of Defense does not own or operate biological laboratories in Ukraine. Under Secretary Nuland was referring to Ukrainian diagnostic and biodefense laboratories during her testimony which are not biological weapons facilities. These institutions counter biological threats througout the country.

However, how can this be true if Nuland showed an obvious concern that Russia would capture the labs and that the material in the labs could be used for offensive purposes?

Second, the DOD would not have to own or operate bioweapons labs in Ukraine directly. All the US would have to do would be to fund them or share information with Ukraine labs. This is a type of fake denial. The DOD knows that it will come out that they funded the labs and provided technology transfer, so this is an attempt to split hairs and say that it is not running the labs directly. The US did not have to run the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China either. However, multiple US government entities, including the DOD, sent funding to the WIV, and the French built that facility and provided technology transfer to China. This is explained in the article Why Did the Pentagon and USAID Fund Gain of Function Research?

Fauci repeatedly lied about funding this lab and what is gain of function research. He also provided NIH funding of hundreds of millions of dollars to connected high-profile scientists who backed up his false claims.

To enable the cover-up, Fauci had the NIH change the definition of gain of function research published on the NIH website. Then he claimed that the gain of function research at WIV was not gain of function because it did not meet the NIH’s definition — or more precisely, it did not match Fauci’s definition.

Pivoting From the Existence of the Labs to How Russia May Use Bioweapons

After being caught lying, the US government accuses Russia of potentially using bioweapons.

How did the conversation pivot from the US getting caught lying about bioweapon-funded Ukrainian labs to the US using bioweapons? I mean, how convenient. This fake story was just a pivot by Marco Rubio who needed to change the story during his questioning of Neuland because Neuland admitted something while testifying that Rudio did not think Neuland would do. The question is a red herring. Rubio should have pressed Neuland on the nature of the bioweapons labs in Ukraine but had no interest in doing so. After this, the establishment media picked up on the pivot (to Russia using bioweapons) rather than the real story. The US has been funding and providing technology transfer to bioweapons labs in a neighboring country to Russia.

Mainstream Establishment Media Fights Back

It is amazing how the establishment media will continue to hold to the DOD and US State Department line after they have been exposed.

Here in this video, Chris Hayes points to Jennifer Griffin, who reads directly from a DOD press release or what the Pentagon calls a “fact sheet.”

The proposal made by this fact sheet is ludicrous as are all fact sheets from the Pentagon. The Berlin Wall fell in 1989, and the Pentagon is proposing that 33 years later, it is still trying to clean up Soviet-era bioweapons labs.

Story #3: “These Are Biolabs That Are Left Over From the Soviet Era and that Are Still Being Cleaned Up by The US and Ukraine”

This is now the third iteration of the story, and it is different than the previous explanations. So they are not “defensive biolabs,” but are bad bioweapons labs that after 1/3 of a century have yet to be cleaned up.

This brings up another question — if the labs have done no new research since 1989 and have been in a multi-decade process of being shut down from when Ukraine was part of the Soviet Block, and when Russian would have had control over the labs, what would be new in them? That would cause Newland and others in the US government to be fear the Russians discovering things in these labs that they did not already know?

This is also explained in the following video.

The statistics presented in this video are quite interesting.  It states that the US has 336 labs in 30 countries, with 26 in Ukraine. The Wuhan Institute of Virology, the likely origin of the covid virus is one of these 336 US-funded labs. The WIV is a dual-use research facility, gain of function is the cover story for working on bioweapons. And there is no debate that WIV was funded by the DOD, as is covered in the following article Why Did the Pentagon and USAID Fund Gain of Function Research?

Back to Story #2: “The Bioweapons Labs Are Designed to Create Defensive Bioweapons”

Then at the 5:50 mark, Chris Hayes then changes the story back Story #2. Hayes does not appear to realize that Story #2 and Story #3 are inconsistent with each other. If the US and Ukraine were cleaning up Soviet-era labs at a peculiarly slow pace (over 33 years and still not finished) then they are not producing new defensive bioweapons research. And how can it take over three decades to clean up Soviet-era bioweapons labs? The only answer is that these labs weren’t being cleaned up, but are continuing to be functioning labs.

This following quotation from The Mercury News makes the same claim that combines two stories into one.

Like any effective conspiracy theory, the Russian claim relies on some truths: Ukraine does maintain a network of biological labs dedicated to research into pathogens, and those labs have received funding and research support from the U.S.

But the labs are owned and operated by Ukraine, and the work is not secret. It’s part of an initiative called the Biological Threat Reduction Program that aims to reduce the likelihood of deadly outbreaks, whether natural or manmade. The U.S. efforts date back to work in the 1990s to dismantle the former Soviet Union’s program for weapons of mass destruction.

“The labs are not secret,” said Filippa Lentzos, a senior lecturer in science and international security at King’s College London, in an email to the Associated Press. “They are not being used in relation to bioweapons. This is all disinformation.” – Mercury News

This last part of the quote contradicts previous claims or Story #2, that these are “good” labs that are creating “defensive bioweapons.” If a lab is doing work on defensive bioweapons, it is still doing bioweapons research.

MSNBC And Chris Hays Call The Bioweapons Labs A Q-Anon Conspiracy Theory

It has become standard for the MSM to claim that information that contradicts the official sources is connected to Q-Anon. Carlson is not connected to Q-Anon. I am also not connected to Q-Anon. `Russell Brand, who also covered this story and whose video we will be analyzing shortly also has no connection to Q-Anon. None of the sources I used for this article have anything to do with Q-Anon. In fact, one of my and Carlson’s sources is Victoria Neuland. Another source not connected to Q-Anon is Russia or Vasily Nebenzya, which as Hayes points out at the 6:00 mark in the video accuses having a large network of bioweapons labs. Nebenzya also used Neuland’s testimony in his presentation to the UN that Neuland confirmed the existence of these labs which Russia also said it found. Russia also found documentation from these labs which it is now sharing.

Hayes then says the entire story is based upon “nothing.” Hayes states that Russia is parroting fake news. And at the 7:20 mark in the video Hayes states…

We have to go in there because of the biolabs, the biolabs.

However, Russia never said that it invaded Ukraine because of biolabs. Russia only stated that they found biolabs after their invasion of the country. Secondly, when the US government stated falsely that Iraq had WMDs, MSNBC thought that explanation was sufficient to justify invading the country. Hayes then says…

If Russia actually believed this, why didn’t they talk about in the build-up to their invasion?

As I said, Russia has never stated that this was a reason for the invasion. Later in the video, the US Ambassador to the UN states that…

Russia has a history of using bioweapons.

The problem with this is that Russia does not have much of a history of using bioweapons. When it comes to radiological, chemical, and bioweapons, the US is the world leader as we cover in the article The Coverup on the US as the World’s Number One User of Chemical, Biological, and Radiological Weapons.

Another Ridiculous Mainstream Media Video

This correspondent needed to film outside for some reason. This is an attempt to make the correspondent look more authentic as he is in Hungary, and he and MSNBC are trying to communicate that their correspondent really does travel to Europe.

MSNBC False Claim #1: Syria and Russia Used Gas Attacks Against Syrians

The claims around individual poisonings by Russia are true, but the claims around Syria are false. The Syria gas attacks were performed by the US, to promote public support for military involvement in Syria, as the following video explains.

This video shows Putin logically critiquing the claim that the gas attack was performed by Syria. This video debunks the idea that the gas attacks were performed by Assad.

The US not only lied about the chemical weapons attack, virtually none of the US public knows that the US military is in Syria.

Story #1: The US is Fighting ISIS

The explanation of the reason for the US to be in Syria made by Dana Stroul in the first Stroul video makes no sense. The US has not declared war on Syria and is not authorized to support different groups in other countries.

Story #2: The US Controlling and Area of Syria to Promote Regime Change

After claiming that the US was fighting ISIS, in the second Dana Stroul video, the story changes, and now it is how the US will overthrow the Assad regime. Furthermore, the US is preventing Syria from redeveloping. Jimmy Dore points out that this is a type of siege warfare. Either Assad steps down and a US puppet is put in his place or the siege will continue. This is the type of warfare that was used against Iraq. However, there is barely any coverage of this war in the US or in the establishment media.

As the US has been caught lying about the reasons for being in Syria and about Assad gassing people. This is yet another regime-change war, why would anyone listen to US officials on any foreign policy topics?

MSNBC False Claim #2: The Labs Are Public Health Labs

Let us return to the MSNBC video.

MSNBC brings on Andy Webber as an expert. However, asking Andy Webber, who is connected up through the US government, is essentially no different than going directly to the US government — and it ensures that like all MSNBC contributors, the person will have zero independence. At the 2:45 mark, Webber states that they are nothing more than public health labs. Obviously, the US funds these labs, so what else is Webber going to say? Webber then goes on remake the false claim about Syria.

MSNBC False Claim #3: Nixon Ended All US Bioweapons Programs in 1969

Nixon ended the US bioweapons programs by signing a convention, but no one who studies this area and is independent thinks that the US has honored that convention.

MSNBC False Claim #4: Putin is Following a Scorched Earth Policy in Ukraine

Putin is not following a scorched earth policy. This is something we cover in the article Is Putin Using a Strategy that Is Unconcerned with Ukraine’s Civilian Casualties?

On Tucker Carlson

Tucker Carlson was really the first large-volume show to cover this story. This was excellent reporting on the part of Carlson, who is routinely lampooned by the establishment media. However, unlike the establishment media, Carlson showed independence from the US government. All the Democrat-aligned media appears capable of repeating what the official authorities say. They claim that anyone who questions or contradicts the official sources is a conspiracy theorist, Putin puppet, and peddler of misinformation. The Democrat-aligned media did the same thing with the covid pandemic, being used to extend the US government and pharmaceutical companies. And after being wrong about everything during the pandemic, the same media apparatus is doing the same thing in the Russia Ukraine conflict.

Russell Brand

This video shows how a small media outlet like Russell Brand (he looks like one person, but he has a staff of at least 15 people who help do the research and provide other support) can easily provide far more truthful information than any of the establishment media with their massive resources.

This video replays some of the same points brought up in the Tucker Carlson video. However, several good issues were raised in this video, not presented in the Carlson video.

Point #1: Russia Can Now Propose That Their Invasion of Ukraine is More Justified Than the US invasion of Iraq

The entirety of the US invasion of Iraq, which has led to the ruination of Iraqi society from which they are unlikely ever to recover, was based upon the false claim made by the US government that Iraq had WMDs. The evidence was known to be false by those that provided it in the US government, and the claim was later proven to be entirely baseless. Secondly, the claim about Iraq was made about a country over six thousand miles from the US. Ukraine, on the other hand, is right next door to Russia.

There is now more evidence of WMD in Ukraine (that is, it is verified) than ever existed in Iraq, and to make matters worse, these WMD research labs were funded by the US. This is outrageous. Several comments on the Brand video explain why.

This actually introduces another interesting dynamic to the whole situation. Can you imagine if the USA found out that someone they considered an enemy had biological research facilities in a neighbouring country, say Mexico? So, what makes them think it is okay financing biological research facilities in a non-NATO country that just so happens to border Russia. Or is there a historical comparison we can make? The Cuban missile crisis springs to mind.

This is an excellent point, as is the following comment.

US: We don’t have a bioweapons facility in Ukraine!

Also US: BUT. There IS a bio research facility specializing in studying the most dangerous pathogens known to man that COULD be used in a bio attack. AND we made the great choice of having it right next to Russia

This brings up an important question. Would the US allow Russia to fund bioweapons research facilities in the neighboring countries of the US, or would the US consider that a violation of its security?

Point #2: Neuland Was Part of the Iraq Lie and Is a Newcon, But is Accepted by Democrats

Neuland’s credibility should have been destroyed after the claims about Iraq were exposed; however, she has suffered no ill effects on her career. She is the current undersecretary of the DOD in a Democrat administration. This illustrates that the Democrats and the Neocons have a similar foreign policy, which is chilling when considering what the Neocons stand for. And on this topic, Newland is married to Robert Reagan. The latter co-authored the paper as part of the think tank called the New American Century, which proposed the US needed a “Pearl Harbor type event” to gain the political power to change US foreign policy. This Pearl Harbor-type event is what the Neocons constructed in the form of 9/11. Soon after 9/11, the US passed The Patriot Act (entirely written long before 9/11) and then invaded Afghanistan and Iraq. Only the failures in these countries prevented Iran from also being attacked.

The following quote describes Newland’s views.

ho is Victoria Nuland? Most Americans have never heard of her, because the U.S. corporate media’s foreign policy coverage is a wasteland. Most Americans have no idea that President-elect Biden’s pick for deputy secretary of state for political affairs is stuck in the quicksand of 1950s U.S.-Russia Cold War politics and dreams of continued NATO expansion, an arms race on steroids and further encirclement of Russia.

Nor do they know that from 2003 to 2005, during the hostile U.S. military occupation of Iraq, Nuland was a foreign policy advisor to Dick Cheney, the Darth Vader of the Bush administration.

Nuland also wants to confront Russia with an aggressive NATO. Since her days as U.S. ambassador to NATO during President George W. Bush’s second term, she has been a supporter of NATO’s expansion all the way up to Russia’s border. She calls for “permanent bases along NATO’s eastern border.” We have pored over a map of Europe, but we can’t find a country called NATO with any borders at all.

Nuland’s militaristic worldview represents exactly the folly the U.S. has been pursuing since the 1990s under the influence of the neocons and “liberal interventionists,” which has resulted in a systematic underinvestment in the American people while escalating tensions with Russia, China, Iran and other countries.

As Obama learned too late, the wrong person in the wrong place at the wrong time can, with a shove in the wrong direction, unleash years of intractable violence, chaos and international discord. Victoria Nuland would be a ticking time-bomb in Biden’s State Department, waiting to sabotage his better angels much as she undermined Obama’s second-term diplomacy. – Salon

Biden thought Newland was an excellent choice to be the Undersecretary of State at the DOD?

The US Has Similar Consistency as Drug Addled Mind of Rick James

The statements by the US government on this topic are so absurd, they branch into the comedic, and I was reminded of the statement by Rick James.

I don’t do things just to do them. What am I going to do, just jump up and gind my feet into somebody’s couch like its something to do.

Come on I have a little more sense than that.

And then five seconds later.

Yea, I remember grinding my feet in Eddie’s couch.

We laugh at Rick James. However, Rick James had an excuse — he was a long-term drug user. None of the US officials are drug users, and they are just liars.

How Long it Takes Until Misinformation and Conspiracy Theories Become “Information” and Conspiracy Fact?

It usually takes months until whatever is called misinformation or a conspiracy theory by the establishment media converts to fact — however, in this case, it only took a few days for the US fake cover story to be destroyed. The following quotation from a comment on the Brand video explains this.

People were pointing this out 3 weeks ago and being called crazy conspiracy theorists. Difference between conspiracy and truth is about 3 weeks.

Conclusion

The Ukrainian bioweapons labs clarify that the US government is constantly lying about its funding of bioweapons research. The number of bioweapons labs is concerning, as is how many of these labs are funded by the US government is explained in the following quotation on the Brand video.

Apparently there’s 336 US biolabs around the world. They’re pretty much always yelling what they themselves are planning to do every time they start screaming someone else is going to do it.

The coronavirus most likely escaped from a US-funded lab in Wuhan. This is the conclusion of the US Foreign Affairs Office as is covered in the article Highlights From The House of Foreign Affairs Report on The Origin of The Coronavirus. The US and China lied about it for months, and where Big Tech and major establishment media censored anyone who discussed the topic before it became apparent that the story was true. Now that the evidence has become overwhelmingly in support of a lab leak, the establishment media simply stopped covering the story. When the establishment media has lost the argument, they respond by de-emphasizing the topic and moving on to other things. The Ukraine conflict has been a boon to the establishment media because story after story was coming out before the invasion. It showed the establishment media was wrong about virtually every contention they told the public about covid and the vaccines. The US government and establishment media will prove to have the same accuracy on Ukrainian bioweapons facilities as they did on covid.

In just the past year, it has been exposed that the US is funding hazardous bioweapons research which is presented under the “dual-use” cover story of engaging in gain of function research that is designed to help address pandemics.
