How LA City Competence is Matching Haiti for Pacific Palisades House Rebuilding
Executive Summary
- The Los Angeles city and state governments have become hotbeds of diversity incompetence that would never have been allowed in the 1950s and 1960s, and the management of the Pacific Palisades fires and the non-rebuild are evidence of this.
Introduction
The Pacific Palisades fire destroyed roughly 10,000 buildings.
How Many Houses Have Been Rebuilt Since the Fire?
I went online to find a counter for the number of houses rebuilt in Pacific Palisades. It was really hard to find much that provided specifics, but I did find this table, which you can see in the attachment
This table was updated as of May 7 2026.
This shows 10 houses rebuilt in nearly 1.6 years since the fire. This demonstrates the government’s mass incompetence in LA. It’s amazing that not only is there so little progress, but that Palisades residents are not more aggressively publishing this lack of progress, because I had to go look for this, as it’s not a national news story (that is the lack of progress). If this rate of progress continues, in another 1.5 years, there will be 20 houses rebuilt in total. I can walk past 20 houses (10 on each side) in about 3 to 4 minutes.
How About the Progress in Malibu?
I checked on Malibu, which had far fewer homes burned, and I found an estimate of only 2 new housing permits as of Sept 2025. So at this point, it’s still probably zero new homes rebuilt in Malibu.
Bringing Haitian Competence Levels to Los Angeles
That is the competence level one would expect from Haiti, not from a US city. Los Angeles has been greatly degraded in its competence due to non-white employees, who tend to bring the corruption levels and competence of the countries they immigrated from. Also, LA’s DEI policies have placed many low-competence individuals in positions of power.

This video points out that new reservoirs have been built in LA since 1978.
See the following quotes.
I worked for a former LA city fireman this week. He worked for them 38 years and he told me that the DEI policies and poor management made these fires far worse then they should have been!!
And this one.
Adam Carolla has an interesting story about being discriminated against, having to wait seven years to go through the hiring/qualification process to try to become an L.A. fifrefighter because he is a white male.
And this one.
You know you have problems in this Country when the Mayor of the second largest city in America is asked a simple question by a reporter and she literally freezes up not answering and simply staring off into space. These people know how to enrich themselves and live like royalty but can’t do their job.
And this one.
This problem has been 50 years in the making. I remember back in the 80’s there was talk about how the environmentalists wouldn’t let the deadwood be removed from the forests. She tried to warn them… “The LAFD emergency fleet is in a constant state of disrepair attributable to years of deferred maintenance, deferred vehicle replacement, and the lack of resources for adequate staffing and replacement parts.” — Chief Kristin Crowley
Empty Reservoirs and Broken Hydrants and Diversity Incompetence
Conclusion
Los Angeles will never recover the level of competence it had before the city became so diverse. And secondly, every year that passes, Los Angeles is becoming more diverse, which means its ability to get things done and to deploy public money is declining every year. And every year that passes, LA will become less white and more diverse than the day before.
The Pacific Palisades fires and the non-rebuilding that has occurred since then are evidence that Los Angeles is going into a steep decline, which, due to demographic replacement, will be impossible to recover from.
