  • How Did DDMRP Convert So Many Vendors?

    ByPrimary Researcher

… a trendsetting solution, and thus, from investment reliability.
    Well, Camelot lies a lot.

This video is filled with the same claims almost always made about these projects that do not come true. They even worked in the term “paradigm” into the video. Bravo.
The statement from one of the Camelot partners that…
All the SAP (inaudible) for all platforms IBP, S/4HANA, SCM, there is no excuse anymore.
This statement makes zero sense. First, neither IBP nor S/4HANA are platforms — they are applications. And what is the excuse that this man is speaking of? S/4HANA has already had …

  • Our Research Study into SAP S4HANA

    ByPrimary Researcher

… firms that repeat what SAP says. This proposed research study would get to the reality of SAP’s S4HANA solution and would answer the following questions.
Item #1: What is the SAP S4HANA Design?
S4HANA is a confusing application that has had explanations around it by SAP and the SAP partners that are false. This ranges from how S4HANA is explained regarding the migration from ECC/Business Suite to the effect of the HANA database on S4HANA performance to a host of other foundational assumptions or contentions that are used to sell S4HANA.
This study will expose the S4HANA design …

    ByPrimary Researcher

… confusing application designs of any SAP application.
A primary reason for this is that none of the C4HANA supporting or amalgamated applications have any consistent development history. This study will expose the C4HANA design.
Item #2: How Broadly Implemented is SAP C4HANA?
SAP C4HANA has SAP and their financially connected partners pushing for it with their clients. However, what is underemphasized on SAP accounts is how broadly the solution is implemented.
We have developed a highly accurate approach for determining any SAP application’s usage. It is based upon multiple measurements, and therefore once integrated, is nearly impossible to contradict …

… custom development — normally with SAP tools. The second is for an SAP customer to purchase SAP’s Multi Bank Connectivity. Both approaches are generally poorly understood and our previous research into the area illustrates complexities that are quite naturally not brought to the surface by either SAP or their consulting partners.
Item #2: How Broadly Implemented is SAP Multi Bank Connectivity?
SAP Multi Bank Connectivity has SAP and their financially connected partners pushing for it with their clients. However, what is underemphasized on SAP accounts is how broadly the solution is implemented.

Naturally, pro-SAP resources will of course attempt to redirect the conversation back to SAP or SAP partner created material. The difference is that in most cases, there is no countervailing analysis provided, and SAP uses a multi-entity method of making it appear as if marketing information is the industry consensus.

  • When Should a Company Use ERP Best Practices Versus Custom Code?

    ByPrimary Researcher

… seem to have any best practices. And many of the IBM consultants seemed to be making up best practices as they went.
    One IBM consultant stated that..
“Twice a week delivery is a best practice.”
The IBM consultants were grasping at straws to come up with best practices, because their partner had oversold best practices consulting to the client.
Once again, the term best practice seems to find the most acceptance during the sales stage.
    Trusting the Various Sources
Vendors are not a good source of information on what percentage of their applications can meet requirements. Given the pressure to …

  • Why Media Entities Must Defend or Not Critique Word Salad

… together, makes the integration work. And it’s of course also very important for the extension of our solution. So, this is something where I would like to draw a much clearer line going forward, because in the past, I feel we were not clear enough in some of these partnerships. – Christian Klein
This is a word salad. Furthermore, SAP does not have a platform. They sell applications. And for could, they pretend to offer a cloud. Still, in fact, they have their partners perform the hosting (i.e., not cloud) though something called the HANA Enterprise Cloud or HEC …

The quote from Christian continues, but as we will see, what is transitions to is not coherent, and the intended information must be teased out of the statement.
In the partnerships, we are closing, we have to own the business platform, we have to own the application layer. I want to be more prescriptive on that because when you are losing more and more of the control of the customer transformation when you’re not …

  • How SAP Vendors Can Benefit from the SAP Integration Ninja

    ByPrimary Researcher

    … less reliance on SAP.
This is because SAP often uses certification of adapters to force vendors into participating in partnerships that are ultimately harmful to the vendor and censor what they can say. We are also the most extensive research entity in SAP, and understand how SAP controls vendors though partnerships. We cover this topic in the article How to Best Understand the Pitfalls of Vendor Partnership with SAP.

Customers do like to see the “SAP Certified” logo on a website, but there is something customers like seeing even better — a demo of the interface.

  • How to Achieve Lean Supply Chain

    ByPrimary Researcher

… can add value, but many still haven’t moved past the initial education stage into full-scale lean supply chain implementation. One reason may be that they haven’t made the paradigm shift as to how to implement lean. The Lean Supply Chain is a system of interconnected and interdependent partners that operate in unison to accomplish supply chain objectives. There should be metrics involved to monitor these objectives to ensure success across the supply chain. These metrics should be reviewed frequently to ensure supply chain success. – Cerasis
